Question:
Good afternoon, We have a 2023 Toyota Highlander hybrid with a U-haul installed hitch. The hitch came with the standard 4-pin connector and we also requested a 7-pin connector to use for towing a 2000lbs camper. The camper is equipped with brakes and a wireless brake controller. The 7-pin connector did not come with the 12V wire for camper brakes and I wanted to ask if you sell the part and if you have any installer recommendations around zip code 60062. Thank you very much for your help,

Hey John if you have the 7-way connector installed and are only missing the 12v power wire, all you will need is a few feet of the 10 Gauge Primary Wire item # 10-1-1. It is recommended to add a 40 Amp In-Line Circuit Breaker like item # 9510 to that 12v line.
For an installer in your area. You'll want to go to the item # 10-1-1 product page and scroll down below the pictures to the blue link that says, Locate installers near me. Go ahead and click on this link and follow the instructions to input your zip code. Once you do this you'll get a list of reputable installers in our network that are near you.

Jerred, thank you for your detailed and useful reply! I have one more question regarding the same topic - Wouldn't I need to run two wires (black for 12V charging the battery and brown for the brake controller) to have a fully functional 7-pin connector ? I assume I could use the same parts you mentioned in your previous post but essentially double them? Thank you again for your help!
