Question:
Looking at a Dodge Durango 2023 to be flat towed behing our Class C RV 450 Ford Engine I see your explanation of needing to be AWD but don’t understand “finding the Neutral button between the shifter and center console “ Can you say that in a different way?

Hey Lois, thanks for reaching out!
The Neutral button on your 2023 Dodge Durango is in the center console a little behind the shifter - if you're needing help with setting up the Durango for flat towing (like the Neutral procedure) then I recommend having a local dealer show you the process. I unfortunately don't have a way to explain it any better than how Dodge explains it in their manual.
As for the parts needed to flat tow your Durango, I recommend the following:
- Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM26VR
- Roadmaster Nighthawk All-Terrain Tow Bar # RM-676
- Accessory Kit # RM-9284-2
- Brake Kit # DM86VR for motorhome hydraulic OR Kit # DM26VR for motorhome air brakes
- High-Low Adapter (see attached article - base plates are 16-1/2" from the ground)
I really like the Roadmaster base plates, tow bar, and wiring because they are extremely reliable and easy to use. The Demco braking systems will install permanently on your vehicle, but out of the way so you won't even tell they are there when you aren't flat towing.

Hey Lois, were you able to get help from your dealer with finding and using the Neutral button on your Durango for flat towing? Knowing how that went could really help others setting up the same vehicle behind their RV.
