AC works great but you are pretty much on your own for installation. Instructions are not great. Made a phone call to etrailer and they said IDK. I figured it out but it really does work well.

We have an install video of this piece that I will attach, but when it comes to specific questions on air distribution, our techs do not have a HVAC certificate so we recommend calling the manufacturer.
Review from a similar Advent Air AC w Thermostat in RV Air Conditioners
This ac was so easy to install!!! I’ve never installed an AC before in a camper and replacing my roof vent with it couldn’t have gone more smoothly. The instructions left a little to be desired as they didn’t translate very well to English and skipped the key component of the fact you have to have a 12v line ran to the unit from a separate source. Other than that it was perfect and installed in about an hour and a half.

My ac system is unremarkable! With a 2 unit RV, my other unit never has had to run full time. I will be replacing the old unit soon and will definitely be purchasing the same brand. Satisfied customer!!!

Review from a similar Advent Air AC w Thermostat in RV Air Conditioners
The company done great letting me know about shipping and arrival date . Unit did sustain some shipping damage . Main frame base was dented. Install for a replacement unit was not bad . Had to rework the opening and adjust mounting brackets . Instructions were easy to follow . The addition of the optional plenum for thicker roofs was a time saver . Wiring was a bit of an issue . No where in the product description or instructions did it state about having to supply additional 12vdc . Most units use a step down transformer in the PCB . This unit does not come to find out . Could not figure out why the thermostat harness didn’t have 12v dc coming out . After a call to Advent , I was informed to supply 12Vdc from an outside source ! After this hiccup, the job went smoothly. Unit does a great job cooling, and is quiet. Thermostat is easy to navigate through. Unit looks nice inside and out . Just not sure how long the rubber bands are going to hold up retaining the filter in the Florida heat .

The wall mounted thermostat for the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner w/ Air Distribution Box and Wall Thermostat - 13,500 Btu - Black # ADV44FR is connected and controlled with hard wires. view full answer...
The Advent Air RV Air Conditioner w/ Air Distribution Box and Wall Thermostat, # ADV44FR has four wires to thermostat. Purple connects to B position, blue to A, with red being the needed 12VDC and gray to COM. view full answer...
The Advent Air RV Air Conditioner w/ Air Distribution Box and Wall Thermostat, # ADV44FR has gaskets that seal the unit to the roof preventing water intrusion and allowing accumulated moisture to evaporate without entering the RV. This is designed with a discharge port to evacuate any condensation generated during operation and while not necessary, you can redirect any accumulation by fabricating a drain tube. This would certainly allow you to control the flow of excess that is generated... view full answer...
The # ADV44FR Advent RV Air Conditioner shouldn't be mounted in the way you describe. If you did so, the compressor would be sitting on its side and wouldn't receive the proper lubrication, which would quickly cause the compressor to fail. The unit is meant to be mounted to the roof of a vehicle so the output feeds through the underside through a 14x14 inch opening in the vehicle's roof, as shown in the linked install video. view full answer...
I have just the unit for you! We get this question often when considering air conditioners for trailers with thinner roofs.
With your 1.6 thick roof, I recommend using the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner w/ Air Distribution Box and Wall Thermostat - 13,500 Btu # ADV44FR. Even though this unit requires a roof thickness between 2-1/2" to 5" thick, there is a way to make a custom plate to work around this requirement provide your roof with the thickness you need. You can do this by making... view full answer...
While we don't carry a Dometic AC that is non-ducted, and is a 13,500 Btu unit, I have an alternate solution.
The Advent Air RV Air Conditioner w/ Air Distribution Box and Wall Thermostat # ADV94FR will work great for you. This unit has a 13,500 Btu capacity, is non-ducted, and has a wall mounted thermostat.
This unit is white in color, but if you prefer black, you can use # ADV44FR instead. view full answer...
When it comes to replacing your Coleman Mach 3 AC The Advent Air RV Air Conditioner w/ Air Distribution Box and Wall Thermostat - 13,500 Btu - Black # ADV44FR will not be a replacement but The Advent Air Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Coleman Setup w/ Start Capacitor - 13,500 Btu - Black # ACCOL135B will.

All of our air conditioner units run off of 115/120V AC power.
That being said, we still have an option to cool off your trailer that will run off of 12V power.
The MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan # MA00-07500K is a great option that features a reversible 10-speed fan, and a thermostat to help air flow inside your trailer.
I have linked a review video for you to check out. view full answer...
Since you don't have a thermostat, you'll need to replace your entire AC unit, and for a 13,500 Btu unit that has everything you need, there is one from Advent:
- Advent Air RV Air Conditioner w/ Air Distribution Box and Wall Thermostat - 13,500 Btu # ADV44FR
The Advent # ADV44FR is compatible with ducted and non-ducted systems so it will work for you, and you can actually choose to add the heat or forgo it with a heat strip, the Electric Heat Strip for Advent Air RV Air Conditioners # ACMHD. view full answer...
To replace your current Dometic condenser unit I recommend the Advent Air Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Dometic Setup w/ Start Capacitor # ACDOM150. This unit comes with a wiring harness adapter that makes it a simple plug-and-play installation so that you don't have to mess with any of the wiring to your thermostat.
This unit also comes with a start capacitor that jumpstarts the AC when a campsite or generator doesn't provide enough power, which will prolong the lifespan of the unit. view full answer...
For a 24' x 8' enclosed trailer, you're looking at about 200 square feet, and for that size, I recommend a 13,500 Btu air conditioner, which will more than suffice for that space. I also highly recommend a start capacitor to go with the AC in order to ensure your unit always has enough power to start up whenever you need.
With that in mind, there are two really good options for you, both from Advent. One has a thermostat and controls directly on the air distribution box, and the other... view full answer...
We do have a heat strip available for the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner part # ADV44FR, the Electric Heat Strip for Advent Air RV Air Conditioners part # ACMHD but Advent does not use heat pumps.
