Availability of Replacement 5-Way Connector

Question:

Do you sell just the 5 pin flat plug that lets me load my wires in? I dont really need 24 or more of new wire. My wires got clipped right at the plug. Plus, for some silly reason this boat trailer has blue, green, brown, yellow and then three whites.

Hi Chad; we actually don't have just the connector. If you're looking for a low cost replacement you can use the Curt Trailer Connector Adapter # C57187. You will have to cut off the 4-way adapter end and connect your existing wires. The Hopkins Endurance 5-Way Flat # HM47910 you looked at will also work but it has the extra 18" of wire you don't need. You can match up the colors when you attach your wires. The extra ground wires can all connect to the single ground from the connector.

Hey Chad, how did things go with wiring the Curt or Hopkins 5-way connector on your boat trailer? Were you able to match up the colors and get everything working again? Your update could make it easier for the next person with clipped wires at the plug.

@RobinH I ended up using a 5 way flat and it all worked just fine. I did pretty much what you said, matched colors and put all the grounds together. Haven't had any problems with the lights since.
