How to Get a 2023 Norco Fluid A2 Bike to Fit on a Thule Passage Trunk Mount Hanging Rack

Updated 12/22/2025 | Published 10/06/2024

Question:

My friend has a Thule Passage trunk bike rack, and I tried my bike on it. I would like to buy this rack but when I tested it the bike doesn’t fit into the holders on the bar. It’s akward due to the frame of the bike and the per seat hydraulic unit as well as the shock. Is there a way to balance the bike and have it fit into the holders? My bike is the 2023 Norco Fluid A2

Hey Justin, thanks for all the details!

In order to fit your 2023 Norco Fluid A2 on the Thule Passage Trunk Bike Rack # TH910XT (or any hanging-style rack for that matter) you'll need to use an adapter bar like the Thule # TH982XT which holds your bike between the handle bar and seat posts and gives you a standard horizontal top tube that's easier to load.

In the attached photo you can see how we loaded a kid's bike with a smaller frame profile onto a hanging rack and it fit just fine on the arms with the adapter bar.

Hey Justin, how did things go once you tried the adapter bar with your Norco Fluid A2 on the Thule Passage rack? Your update could make it easier for others with full-suspension bikes to find a good fit.
