Trailer Hitch Needed For Hauling A Mobility Scooter On A 2018 Nissan Altima

Question:
Please tell me what does not confirmed to fit your 2018 Altima mean? I am a disabled vet, I now qualify to be issued a mobile scooter. Will any other hitch fit my car? The VA told me to go buy a new car, I can not afford to do that. Do you have a hitch that will fit my car. I will be seriously be restricted to home without your help.

Hi John,
The only hitch compatible with your 2018 Nissan Altima is going to be the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11352. Since this is a class 1 hitch with only a 1-1/4" receiver tube opening and 200lb tongue weight capacity you likely wouldn't be able to find a scooter and carrier that would fall within the hitch's weight capacity, which is why the VA told you to get a different vehicle. Do you know what the weight of the scooter will be?
