Why Would a Firestone Compressor System Continuously Fill Bags When Turned On
Updated 12/22/2025 | Published 09/30/2024 >
Question:
Hi I have this Firestone wireless unit in my truck, it was installed prior to purchase. When I connect the wires to the battery the pump automatically turns on and it won’t connect to my app on the phone, am I missing something? Will the bags just keep filling until they blow up?

Darcy, that should not be happening. That to me sounds like there could be a relay switch that is stuck open causing the compressor to run continuously. It could also be a leak causing it to run all the time, or there could be a faulty pressure switch on the compressor.
I'd suggest checking out your owner's manual to look for the relay that is connected to the compressor.
