Question:

I have a 2015 Keystone Premier camper. We have a Dometic AC thermostat that does not seem to be working anymore. The number that is on the back of the thermostat itself is: 3313195.000. What would be the correct thermostat to replace it with? Also, if it is the black one that has Bluetooth capability, is the Bluetooth something you can get away with not using and still run, or is it something that that must be used?

Hey Rebecca,

I spoke with Dometic and their tech stated that you can swap out the 3313195.000 thermostat with # DMC79FR. She did say they typically don't have issues with the thermostat and it usually comes back to being a controller issue. You should be able to replace the controller as well with kit # DMC63ZR but you'll really want to take a look at your system and figure out what your model number is.

She stated that Penguin model numbers beginning with 614 would have the controller built into the rooftop unit, which would require more to replace. Penguin models beginning with 640, FJX (Fresh Jet) models, and Brisk models beginning with a 5 or B5 would not have the controller built into the rooftop unit. Let me know what your model number is and I'd happy to verify you're getting the right components to get your system back up and running.

@Rebecca Since your part number starts with B5 we know you have a Brisk model and that the controller would be mounted to the air distribution box instead of being built into the rooftop unit. The # DMC79FR would be a compatible replacement for just the thermostat and the # DMC63ZR would replace both the thermostat and controller.
