Question:
Hello, Im looking for new tires for our 5th wheel we just bought. The current tires are 9 years old. I need ST235/80r/16Es. We dont go far when we camp. Maybe 100 miles max from home a few times a year. I dont want to spend big money on tires that will most likely age out way before they wear out. Can you recommend a good tire in this size.? It looks like this Kenda is a good tire and has good reviews. I know truck / car tires pretty well but not so much with trailer tire brands. Any advice would be helpful. Ive done alot of internet research but there is alot out there. My 5th wheel has a dry weight of 9900 lbs and a GVWR of 13774 lbs incase that helps.

Hey Dean welcome back! The Karrier ST235/80R16 Radial Trailer Tire item # KE73KV you were looking at is going to be our best option for what you are looking for. This is a load range E tire with a 3,500 lbs capacity at 90 psi, so you'll be good. It has a speed rating of M which tops out at 81 mph.
The reason I like the Karrier item # KE73KV tire is because of the 5-Rib design. This not only helps give you better traction it also reduces heat build up and reduces road noise.
Additionally, the Karrier item # KE73KV tire has a 1-year worry-free guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way, it will be replaced for free.
