What Type of Lock Bracket Does Replacement Lock Core For SportRack SR03807 Use

Question:
Hello, I have this older Sears sport 15 – CAV cargo box that needs a replacement lock. I have read on your website that part SR03807 Will work on some years of this model. My question is will that lock work for this style of catch? The opening is a rectangle about an inch cross. It looks like the lock and the hook it comes with should work, I was just wondering if the lock needs to turn 180 degrees before removing the key or if it would only turn partially then it may not be feasible for this configuration. Any help you can provide is appreciated and thank you.

Hey Steven,
It's possible the Replacement Lock Core and Key for SportRack Explorer Cargo Box # SR03807 can work for you, but it does depend on the lock bracket like you mentioned. It doesn't necessarily have to turn 180 degrees, but if you take a look at the bracket that is needed, you can compare that to yours. Unfortunately that isn't a bracket that is available anymore so if that doesn't work the best I can offer is a new box. I'll leave a link below to our selection just in case you want to go that route.
