4-Way Wiring Harness With Clean Look & HItch For 2023 Toyota Tacoma

Updated 01/12/2026 | Published 09/01/2024

Question:

I have a 2023 Toyota Tacoma SR. Will the Hopkins Part HM11141144 plug in to the existing hole in the bumper where the factory trailer wiring receptacle would be located? My truck has the hole in the bumper, but it has a removable cover installed in the hole. I would like to install a receiver hitch and wiring on this truck, but would like to have the truck side of the wiring harness terminate in a receptacle in the rear bumper like the OEM wiring does. I only need the lighting circuit wiring that is provided by a flat four connection trailer brake wiring not required.

Hi Kerry,

The Hopkins part you mentioned isn't a fit for your 2023 Toyota Tacoma, and there isn't anything similar that can go to that receptacle, but you can still have a clean look when you add a 4-way to go with a hitch that fits like # e98905.

To add a 4-way to your '23 Tacoma use the T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56349, and then use the No-Drill Mount for Electrical Mounting Bracket #18140 with Mounting Bracket # 18144.

Hey Kerry, how did the setup with the Curt 4-way harness and the no-drill mounting brackets work out on your Tacoma? Your update could make it easier for others wanting a clean bumper-mounted wiring setup.
