2016 Mercedes E350 sedan Does the Curt C11001 block the foot sensor to activate the trunk open?

Hi Bruce; the functionality of the foot sensor on your 2016 E350 will not be lost if you install the Curt # C11001. However, sometimes hitch installation partially blocks the sensor. If that happens, you will have to find the sweet spot on either side of the receiver to trigger the sensor.
