Question, I would like to set my 2023 ZR2 for flat tow. Noticed all base plates show excludes ZR2. Wondering if you have any products that work for Zr2 for setting up for flat tow. Thank you.

Hey Jesse,

Blue Ox has just what your Silverado ZR2 needs with the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BLU75CR. This fits even if your model has adaptive cruise control, turbo, or bottom shutters. If you haven't picked out the rest of your flat towing components then I have the following recommendations for you:

Tow Bar: etrailer XHD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Blue Ox and Curt Base Plates # e67ZR. This tow bar comes with safety cables so you won't have to purchase them separately and the shank comes with a built-in rise/drop to help keep it level between the motorhome and Silverado.

Tow Bar Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This will transfer your motorhome's traffic signals to the Silverado's tail lights.

Braking System: If your motorhome has hydraulic brakes then you'll want the Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo # SM99251. This has a light that will need to tap into your Silverado's brake light switch, which unfortunately isn't useable so you'll need to install the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751495 to supplement this signal for the indicator light.

If your motorhome has air brakes then you'll want the Demco Air Force One # SM99243 instead. This won't need to tap into the brake light switch so you won't need a stop light switch kit with this one.

Since you'll need to disconnect the battery to flat tow I recommend picking up a disconnect switch # RM-766 (gas models) or # RM93MR (diesel models) to make it as easy as flipping a switch.
