Question:

I need to replace my Dometic A/C on my 2019 Coachmen Freedom Express 246RKS, model B57915.711J0, NOM BTU: 13,500. Can you suggest a replacement? Also, include any other “parts” I might need.

Hey Silver,

To replace your 13,500 Btu Dometic AC, I recommend the Furrion unit for the best overall cooling; you can also choose from either Black or White:

Hi Kyle, I appreciate your response. Would you be able to do a comparison to the Advent Air Replacement RV A/C, part ACDOM135? It is significantly cheaper and I’m not sure why. Thank you in advance.

@SilverP In all honesty, there have recently been a lot of issues with Advent's compatibility with Dometic ACs, from if they work as replacements to even issues with mounting hardware lining up and a poor fit. I just can't recommend going that route. The Furrion has a bigger price tag, but it'll work for you and it's also more energy efficient (draws almost 4 amps less than Advent while running) and has dual motors that give more airflow.
