After a long, hot afternoon at camp, this 15,000 Btu Coleman-Mach Mach 8 Plus helps cool the cabin without adding a bulky roofline. Its ultra-low profile, fiberglass basepan, and dual motors give you strong rooftop cooling in a compact setup.
A rooftop AC should cool the RV without adding more height and bulk than necessary. The Mach 8 Plus gives you 15,000 Btu of cooling in an ultra-low 8-1/4" profile, helping the unit sit lower on the roof while still giving you the cooling power you want when summer heat builds inside the cabin.
Some parts of the day call for more airflow than others. When you get back from a long drive, a hike, or an afternoon in the sun, high-speed operation helps move 300 CFM of cooled air through the RV. At night, low-speed operation keeps air circulating with less noise, so the AC is less distracting while you sleep.
Weight matters on an RV roof, especially when the unit has to handle long miles, vibration, and changing weather. The fiberglass basepan gives the AC a strong foundation without making the rooftop unit heavier than it needs to be. That helps balance durability with the lower-profile design that makes the Mach 8 Plus stand out.
This rooftop AC is built for compatible Coleman-Mach systems that use R32 refrigerant. That fitment matters because newer R32 systems are not always interchangeable with older Coleman-Mach setups. Before installing, confirm that your air distribution box, thermostat, and controls are compatible with this R32 rooftop unit. It is not backward compatible with older systems.
This is the rooftop AC unit only, so a complete installation requires the correct Coleman-Mach interior components for your ducted or non-ducted setup. Replacing the unit means lifting it onto the roof, sealing the opening, and connecting it to the compatible air distribution box, thermostat, and controls. This AC can be paired with the Coleman-Mach electric heater assembly , sold separately. The heater assembly adds supplemental electric heat through your compatible Coleman-Mach system, which can help take the chill out of the air on cool mornings or shoulder-season trips. It is not included with this AC unit, does not make this a heat pump, and is not meant to replace your RV furnace in cold weather.

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look together at this Mach eight plus ultra low profile 15,000 BTU RV air conditioner. This Coleman Mach Mach eight plus is a 15K BTU rooftop RV AC that's going to give you strong cooling during that hot weather. Before we go any further, let me give you some measurements just so you have a good idea of the size. So looking at the overall length from back to front, we're sitting pretty close to 41 1/8 long.
And then the width here, we are sitting at 28 3/8 inches wide. And one of the biggest advantages of this AC is the ultra low profile design. So the overall height's going to be just at 8 1/4 inches tall. So this is going to sit closer to the roof than many traditional RV air conditioners, and it's going to give your RV a cleaner, less bulky rooftop setup without sacrificing its 15,000 BTU cooling capacity. This has a two-motor airflow control.
So when your RV's been sitting in the sun and you need to bring the temperature down, the higher setting is going to give you stronger airflow. And then once things are comfortable, the lower setting can keep the air circulating with less noise. So that's going to be especially nice at night. This unit is rated for 300 CFM of airflow. And for construction, this uses a fiberglass base pan that's going to help give the rooftop unit the strength and durability it needs without adding unnecessary weight.
Of course, this is in white. It's a textured cover that we have here, so it feels very durable. I think it's going to hold up really well. And it's got a little bit of a flex to it. So I don't think this is going to crack as easily as some of the other shrouds that we see on ACs that are a harder plastic.
So I think because it has a little bit of give to it, it should endure better than others. Now, one of the biggest things to know before buying this is compatibility. This model is designed for compatible Coleman Mach systems using the R32 refrigerant. It's not backwards compatible with older systems. So this is just going to be for the AC unit only. If you need to pick up the air distribution box in the thermostat, if you don't already have those, all of those items also have to be compliant with that new R32 refrigerant. And you can find those items here at etrailer. We do also offer this unit with a heat bump, a heat pump as well. And if that's something that would be better suited for your particular situation, you can find that unit here at etrailer as well. So again, this is going to be just for the AC unit only. Does not have the air distribution box or the thermostat or the other components that you would need to get this up and running. If you need help with installation, we can help you with that as well. On this product page underneath the photo section, we have a link that will take you to our installer locator. Click that link, answer the questions that it has for you, and that locator will find an installer in your area that etrailer has partnered with to get this installed for you. Well again, my name's Andy. Thank you for joining me.
