Question:

I have a 2024 Wrangler JL 4 door 4xe. I am looking to put a rack on that can hold an RTT. I am considering the Rhino Rack Backbone, the Yakima Ribcage, and the Frontrunner Slimline II. Can you recommend one over the others?

Hello Tony. Between all of the platforms you mentioned, I recommend the Front Runner Slimline II Platform Rack. For the 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe use the Front Runner Slimline II part # FR44MJ. This comes with the 53-1/2" long x 56-1/8" wide platform and the gutter mount foot pack. I like this platform since it uses a total of four gutter mount feet on each side. Other platforms use only two or three per side. Having a total of 8 gutter mount attachment points makes this platform super secure and super sturdy. Each slat has a continuous T-slot so you can mount virtually any accessory that installs into a T-channel. The Slimline II is easily strong enough to hold a tent, just make sure you observe the overall weight capacity of your roof.
