Question:
My Karavan boat trailer has open eye C-hook style leaf springs which seem to have “flattened” out and now touch the frame see picture. Do I need to replace these leaf springs to get the open eye to not touch the frame?

Hi Alan; you definitely want to replace those leaf springs. If they have flattened out that means they're worn out and ready to be replaced anyway. Rubbing on the frame like that could also cause other problems. New springs will keep it from pushing up into there since they will have their arch back, pulling the open end down where it should be.
Our open eye slipper spring selection only consists of the 4-Leaf Slipper Spring w/ Open Eye End for 4,300-lb Trailer Axles - 26-1/4" Long # e24SR and # e33SR with Dacromet. If this doesn't match the length of what you have now or the capacity you will have to find a different replacement somewhere else.
I went ahead and attached a help article below explaining how to measure if you aren't sure. If you don't know your axle capacity you should be able to find it on the axle tag.
