Are Cable Actuated RV Waste Valves Prone to Being Troublesome

Question:
I read that cable actuated waste valves can be troublesome. Is this mostly because they aren’t installed correctly? Thanks for your help and advice. Michael

Michael, I'd say what you're reading is a bit of both them being a bit troublesome but also the installer installing it incorrectly. The cables can be prone to bounding issues, but that does not necessarily mean that it will happen to you so I wouldn't really worry about it.
As long as you keep on top of your sewage system, you shouldn't run into any issues.
