Availability of Spring Seats and U-Bolt Kit for 1-1/2" Diameter Axle

Question:
I have a small trailer that I just installed your hubs/bearing kit on and its great. While doing that job I noticed someone welded the axle to the leaf springs and one of the welds broke. Id like to go back with U bolts and spring perches but the smallest anyone shows for a round axle is 1.75. Ive measured mine with a caliper and it looks to be 1.5. I dont think the 1.75 will work, do I have any options to fix it correctly?

Hi Darren; unfortunately we don't have anything that will fit a 1-1/2" diameter round axle. I'm only seeing options for 1-1/2" square axles when I run an internet search like our # CE23102 but it doesn't mean they don't exist.
If you can't find them anywhere else and you don't want to repair the weld I would say you need to reach out to a local fabricator. You can probably find the U-bolts at a local hardware store and have them fabricate spring seats and the U-bolt plates.

Hey Darren, were you able to find a fabricator to make the U-bolts and spring seats for your 1.5-inch axle? Knowing what solution worked could help others dealing with the same size issue.
