Question:

I’m looking to put air bags on my 2012 ram 2500 and I’m pretty sure it’s been lifted by a previous owner how do I determine how much spacer I need for correct fit?

Hello Curtis, thanks for reaching out. For your 2012 Ram 2500 I recommend the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs # AL57295. Air lift makes spacers for lifted trucks, but if you are unsure of how much lift you have, you will need to measure to determine the correct spacer.

The best way to determine this is to install the upper and lower brackets, measure the distance between them and subtract the height of the air bag. Then for example, if you still have a 2" gap, you can use the 2" lift spacers # AL52420. Or the # AL52440 for a 4" gap.

Hey Curtis, how did your measurements turn out for the air bag spacers on your Ram 2500? Were you able to match the gap and choose between the 2-inch or 4-inch spacers? Your update could make it easier for others setting up air bags on lifted trucks.
