Will Single Axle Trailer Fender w/ Backing Plate Fit Trailer With 12" Wheels and Tires

I have a home made trailer that needs fenders. Stamped on the tire is 5x12 but the actual diameter of the tire is 21. Will your part number HP79VR work for this tire?

Hi Raymond; you won't have a problem using the # HP79VR on your trailer. They're designed for 13" and 14" wheels which will have a larger diameter tire but they will work with your 12" as well. These go by wheel size since tire diameters can vary even within the same size. You can also use the fender dimensions which are 28" long x 7-3/4" wide x 10" tall to get a good idea of how this will fit on the trailer. A tire like the Taskmaster 5.30R12 # TT53012C has a 21.57" outer diameter despite fitting a 12" wheel so that is perfectly normal.
