Suspension Enhancement Option For 1990 Toyota Land Cruiser

Question:
RAS Team – I have a 1990 Toyota Landcruiser 4 door wagon. I cannot find which RAS springs work in this application. Could you make a recommendation or maybe I could take some measurements off existing leaf springs that may help you? The truck is rated as half ton running gear and I plan on towing a light trailer across the country. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks much, Joe

Hi Joe,
I checked with RAS for you and unfortunately there isn't a system they have for your 1990 Toyota Land Cruiser. I checked with other manufacturers as well, and the only option for suspension enhancement for your Land Cruiser is from Timbren, and would fit so long as your Land Cruiser is a 4WD with leaf spring front suspension. For that you'd need the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TTORLC1.
While not the same as a leaf spring system like the RAS, the # TTORLC1 will do a nice job helping your Toyota's handling when you are towing because they take the brunt of the added weight, engaging when needed to counteract sag and body roll.

Hey Joe, how did things turn out with the Timbren suspension setup on your Land Cruiser? Did it help smooth out the ride and reduce sag when towing your trailer? Your update could make it easier for others with older Land Cruisers to find the right fit.
