Question:

Hi, trying to upgrade on a budget my hitch. I have one that has the extra sway control but looking to go to a E2 or equalizer that has it built in. My question is what size do I need? Its a 08 fun finder xt245 toy hauler. Hitch weight is listed at 765lbs and trailer is listed at 4255 dry gvwr is 7765. I usually have 2 harleys about 900 lbs each. No water light gear. Can I get away with a 800 8000 combo or how much higher should I go? Thanks in advance

Hey Bob thanks for all the information! It looks like you're going to be around 6,100 lbs once you get your Harley's loaded so that would put your tongue weight somewhere between 600 lbs and 900 lbs. I recommend using the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution System item # FA92-00-1000.

The Fastway item # FA92-00-1000 has a tongue weight range of 600 lbs - 1,000 lbs so it would be perfect for your set up. This system comes with a 2" shank and has the built in sway control you are looking for.

This system does not include a hitch ball. Depending on your coupler size you will either need a 2" Hitch Ball item # A-90 or a 2-5/16" hitch ball item # C40030.

Hey Bob, how did the Fastway e2 weight distribution system work out for your Fun Finder toy hauler? Did it give you the sway control and balance you were hoping for with the Harleys loaded? Your feedback could help others setting up a similar trailer.
