Question:
Hi I’m looking for a bike rack to fit my 56 lb e-bike, with a 1.25 inch hitch. Will this work? Hollywood Racks Destination Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4 and 2 Hitches - Frame Mount.. is there a ramp for this rack?

Hello Theresa, thanks for reaching out. I do have a great bike rack option for you, but the Hollywood Racks Destination Bike Rack # HLY94FR is only rated for 35 lbs per bike, so this will not work for your 56 lb e-bike.
What I recommend instead is the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack # HLY74FR. This will work with the 1-1/4" hitch and it can hold two bikes weighing up to 80 lbs apiece. It will also work with larger tires up to 5" wide. Overall it is just a very solid versatile rack so it is definitely what I recommend. There is no ramp available for this rack though.
If the ramp is a must-have, take a look at the Thule Epos Bike Rack # TH99XE. This has a 75 lb per bike capacity and will work in the 1-1/4" hitch. There is a ramp attachment, part # TH43VA that can be added to the end of the wheel tray for easy loading and unloading.

Hi Theresa, how did things go with the bike rack for your 56 lb e-bike? Did the Thule Epos with the ramp make loading easier? Your update could make it easier for others choosing between these racks.
