Trailer Wiring Recommendation for 2022 Kia Soul

Question:
I have a 2022 kia soul lx with a 2inch hitch which I i stalled for a bike rack. I now need to add a wiring harness for a trailer. I would like to avoid having to connect to the battery. Is here an option that will simply plug into the tailights and draw power from there?

Hey Greg, for your 2022 Kia Soul the best trailer wiring option is the Curt part # C89KR which is custom fit...but it does require running wire to battery like you asked about. The taillight circuits of your vehicle are just not rated or the additional amperage draw of trailer wiring so you'd need to use the battery for that purpose.
