Roof Vent Cover for 2023 Jayco North Point with Maxxair Vent

Question:

I have a 2023 Jayco North Point and it has a Max Air vent in the galley. It opens automatically when on button pushed. I measued the lid hights and I need at least 17inch high Max cover. Which Max Vent cover do I need ? I dont want the vent fan lid to hit the cover. Please advise

Hey Thomas, the Maxxair roof vent cover part # MA26JR that you referenced is what you are looking for as this is was designed to fit the vent you have. It's not 17 inches tall but your roof vent will open far enough to allow full ventilation and will stop once it gets to the top of the cover.

In the specifications it reflects it as only 9 inches tall thats a far cry from 17 inches as you reflect. Please recheck this part.

@ThomasQ The reason for that is that at 9 inches your lid is open enough to flow just as much air as if it was all the way open at 17 inches. This is because not that much air relative the opening size moves through it.

I heaar whaat your saying but my lid is electric and opens to 12 + inches high and I cannot stop it. The 9" height is to low. Iss there aa way I can send you the PICs when open with the tape measure next to it? Sorry but this electic fan is my issue. Please be patient with me and respond.

@ThomasQ I understand what you mean and I have had the same question for our roof vent manufacturers but they have all told me that their lids were designed to stop once they hit the top of the cover.
