Fifth Wheel Hitch Recommendation for 2022 Ram 2500 Towing Trailer with Max Turn Cap

Question:
Greetings! I have a 2022 Ram 2500 ccsb 6.4 Hemi without the OEM puck system. I am looking for a light-er weight hitch to tow a 2023 Cougar 320rds. In a perfect world, I would go with an auto slider, but I am bumping against my max payload capacity. The trailer is advertised as having a “max turn” front cap. Would something like a Demco recon or curt crosswing be sufficient? So many options and so many opinions out there… Thank you, Brian

Hey Brian, thanks for all of the details on your setup as that makes my job a little easier. The great news is that since your trailer has a "max turn" nose on it that you don't have to use a slider hitch at all which means you can get away with a lighterweight hitch since sliders are pretty heavy and often times noisy.
So with that in mind you can go with the super lightweight Curt Crosswing with Custom Rail kit for your 2022 Ram 2500 part # C88BV. This kit comes with everything you'll need to install rails and use this hitch which is only 60 lbs.
