I’m looking for Ac unit for my 1999 Fleetwood Prowler… what do you have that fits it?

Hey Jeffrey,

There isn't a guide to tell us what your motorhome has installed on it but you can remove the shroud on the rooftop unit to look for the manufacturer sticker that lists the model number and BTU rating. You'll also need to remove the cover to the air distribution box inside the motorhome and look for the wire harness that hangs down from the rooftop unit and plugs into the controller to see if you have a 6-pin or 9-pin connector. I have the following recommendations based on connector-style and BTU rating:

13,500 BTU:
6-pin # FR26PR
9-pin # FR82PV

15,000 BTU:
6-pin # FR58PR
9-pin # FR42PV

I looked at my existing Ac unit. The model # is 83338664, it’s a Coleman Mach and it has a six pin connector. 13,500 BTU. Can I use that unit # ADV79FR for 629.99?

@JeffR If you have a 6-pin connector then you would be able to plug the Advent Air Low Profile RV Air Conditioner # ADV79FR into your Coleman controller to replace the rooftop unit.

@KevinC the unit showed up and I had high hopes of getting it installed quickly. But I discovered a few things. I actually have a 9 pin plug instead of the six. My existing mounting bracket won’t work. And I also discovered that the existing unit is wired directly to my camper. What can we do?

@JeffR Advent makes an adapter # ACCOLKIT to connect the 6-pin connector from the # ADV79FR to the 9-pin connector from your Coleman system. If the mounting bracket holes are a little off you can use Furrion's adapter # C-FACR15SA-A01 instead which also comes with some brackets that can help line the Advent unit up with the holes in the Coleman air distribution box. If the controller is not separate from the rooftop unit for the Coleman system and you can't separate it from the unit and mount it in the space between the Advent rooftop unit and Coleman air distribution box then you'll want to swap out to the Advent Air # ACDB (manual control) or # ACRG15 (wall control) air distribution boxes, which would come with a new controller and mounting holes that do line up. This would eliminate the need for any adapters as well.
