Hi. I’m attempting to accomplish something similar… use my Thule hitch box with a bike rack (I have 2 different types of hitch bike racks I could use.). I have 2015 Tahoe LT. what are my options? Thanks!

Hey Amy, thanks for reaching out!
It sounds like you're wanting to use something like the Thule Arcos Enclosed Cargo Carrier # TH25YE and a bike rack at the back of your 2015 Chevy Tahoe (correct me if I'm wrong).
The best option we have for your application is the Replacement Shank for Gen-Y Adjustable Ball Mount # 325-GH-305 because it has stacked receivers to give you some extra clearance.
You'll need to test out your box and bike racks though to see if you even have enough room for both of them, and you'll want to look at the weight rating of your Tahoe and the hitch that's installed on it so you don't exceed that.
We have some alternative options that would work better, but they would require a new bike rack, a new box, or both.

Hey Amy, how did things go when you tried pairing your Thule hitch box and bike rack on your Tahoe? Were you able to make the stacked receiver setup work with the Gen-Y shank? Your update could make it easier for others trying a similar combo.
