Does Power Need 60 Amp Fuse for Progressive Dynamics 60 Amp Power Station
Updated 02/03/2026 | Published 07/07/2024 >
Question:
I purchased a Progressive Dynamics, 60 Amp PD4060K power station. I have a 30 amp fuse between the power station and batteries. When plugged into 30 amp shore power to charge the batteries through the PD4060k power station, the fuse between the power station and batteries keeps blowing. I think I have too small of a fuse. Should it be 60 amp or 80 amp given the power station is a 60 amp? Thank you for your help.

Hey Jeremy, thanks for reaching out!
You'll want to use a 60 Amp fuse since the Progressive Dynamics 4000 Series RV Converter w/ Charge Wizard and AC/DC Distribution Panel # PD4060K has a 60 Amp rating.

Hey Jeremy, how did things go after switching to the 60 amp fuse with your PD4060K power station? It’d be great to know if that stopped the fuse from blowing. Your update could make it easier for others running the same setup.
