Does the Reese Strait Line WDS Need to be Unlocked When Disconnecting Spring Bars

Question:
When I want to release the Reese weight distribution bars do I leave the hitch lock closed on the hitch ball or release it before lifting? Thx td

Tony, you're going to want to release the Strait-Line Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control # RP66074 first, then you'll need to use your jack to raise the trailer to take the weight off of the bars. From here, you can disconnect your spring bars and unhook the trailer completely.
