If 5th Wheel Setup has a Slider Hitch is a Sidewinder Pin Box Needed as Well

Question:
I was wondering, if I went with a sliding 5th wheel hitch in a short bed f150, would I still need something like a sidewinder? Thanks Sam

Hey Sam, so this is a great question but in a short bed truck you don't need both a Sidewinder and a slider hitch. With just one or the other you'd have enough turning clearance. Most are going to prefer the Sidewinder though as it doesn't require you to get in and out of the truck to operate it and it allows the RV to track better behind the truck.

Hey Sam, how did things work out with your short bed F150—did you end up going with the slider hitch or the Sidewinder? Knowing which setup worked best could help others deciding between the two.
