Locking the Thule Cargo Basket to a Roof Rack

I dont like the idea that you can just wheel off eight wheeled nuts and make off with the rack. Do you happen to know or can find out what the thread pattern is on the U-bolts so that I can look into options for tamper-resistant nuts to replace the thumb-wheels it comes with?

I have great news for you. The Thule Canyon XT # TH859XT offers a basket lock in part # TH450400. It locks the cover over the hardware that attaches the basket to the crossbars.
