Question:

Hi, I have a 2024 Ford Maverick with a RealTruck Elevate CS Rack. Im looking for a foldable kayak rack system to mount to it that can carry at least 2 kayaks. The challenge I am running into is that the cross bars on the Elevate rack are very wide and thick. Would you know of any kayak carrier products on your site that have been proven to fit the Elevate Rack? Please let me know if you need additional information or measurements. Thanks!

Hi Cody,

Good question, and we do have an option for a foldable kayak carrier that will work with the TruXedo Elevate Rack # TX24NV you have. That said, you would have to go with a pair of carriers, one for each kayak. The crossbars of the Elevate are 3.79" wide x 1.5" tall, and the carrier that will work is from Kuat, and you even have your choice of colors:

- Kuat Class 4 V2 Kayak Carrier - Gray # KU33VR or Black # KU53VR

The Kuat V2 will work because it uses straps that fit around crossbars that are up to 4-1/4" wide and 2" tall, so bars even larger than what you have. It even comes with hardware for mounting the rack to the T-bolts if you want to go that route.

Hey Cody, how did the Kuat Class 4 V2 carriers work out on your Elevate rack? It sounds like they should have fit those wider crossbars nicely. Your feedback could really help others trying to haul two kayaks with the same setup.
