Question:

Hey Etrailer! I am looking to upgrade the wheels and tires on my Malone Ecolight Trailer SKU: MPG585. I am looking for something with a higher speed rating. I was told to go to a bigger wheel since mine are just an 8 wheel. I am not 100 of the benefits of going to a bigger wheel but im sure you guys will inform me on it. Thanks!

Chenchar, I recommend you upgrade your 8" tires on your Malone EcoLight Trailer # MAL43FR to a 10" wheel using the Kenda 205/65-10 Bias Trailer Tire with 10" Galvanized Wheel # AM3H490.

These wheels are going to have the same bolt pattern as the wheels that came on your trailer, so they will bolt right up. The only issue I can see is clearance in the fender, so if anything you may just have to move or adjust the fender to give you the right clearance.

These new tires/wheels also have a much higher N speed rating, so you can now go up to 87 MPH.
