Question:
I have a stage with a Shelby winch model 5353. The winch has an extinction that brings the crank handle to the front of the stage. Will I be able to fabricate a extinction on the new winch to bring the crank handle to the proper location.

The unique design for the Handle # DL70350 on the Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch w/ Automatic Brake # DL14958 will make things a little difficult to create an extension but it can be done. My recommendation would be to cut the handle portion off the center section which mounts to the winch. Then you could weld that to an extension but you will need to have a slot opening near the winch so you will be able to access the bolt and spring which attach it to the winch.
