Question:

I have a 2015 Dodge Durango with factory rails. Will the Hulavator fit? I have a Thule roof box so thought this would fit too. I need a rack that is easy to lift the kayak up. I am short and need some assist with the weight of the kayak.

The Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Roof Rack # TH898 is compatible with roof rack systems that have the crossbars overhanging the support legs. Since that isn't the case for the OEM roof rack on your 2015 Dodge Durango we'll need to find a different solution for you.

I recommend checking out the Malone DownLoader Kayak Roof Rack w/ Lift Assist and Tie-Downs # MPG114MD-351XL which gives you traditional J-Style kayak carriers, but these have an anchor point on them for the TelosXL assist system that let's you "walk" the kayak up these arms and into the carriers. When you unload the boat you simply do the opposite so you don't have to take on the full weight of the kayak.
