Question:

Looking to replace the AC unit on my 2008 Keystone Passport 195 RB. Looking at the Advent low profile 13500 btu unit. Will I need any additional items or is his plug and play for my current setup? Thanks

Hello Erik, thanks for reaching out. The Advent AC units, such as the # ADV79FR low profile unit, are made to be compatible with either Advent, or Dometic Brisk AC systems. I do not have a way to look up exactly what brand of AC is one your camper currently, but if it is a Dometic Brisk unit, the Advent unit will be a direct replacement. Meaning it will use your current thermostat and distribution box and everything.

As far as additional items, the only thing I recommend getting is a Start Capacitor # ACMSCKIT. This is not a requirement, but it will help to lower the power draw when starting the AC.

If you have a different brand of AC system just let me know what you have an I am happy to make a recommendation.
