How To Determine If I have a 15" Wheel with 5 on 4-1/2" or 5 on 5" Bolt Pattern

Question:

I am unsure as to the size rim I need. I have measured according to the website but when I try to match it to a 4.5X15 rim the holes do not line up. Can I send pictures of the rim with measurements and perhaps you can help?

Thanks for the pics Russ.

Based on your pic showing center to center measurement between the two holes being 3", you have a 5 on 5" bolt pattern, and not a 5 on 4-1/2". Since you have a 15" diameter wheel you'd need a wheel such as the # AM20428 which is a 15" wheel with the 5 on 5" bolt pattern.

I'd double check that measurement, as it's kind of hard to judge from a picture.

@Russ # A225R65WS would be the closest option we have for you. It's the correct size wheel (Bolt pattern and diameter), but the tire is a little bigger as 205/75R15 is the smallest 15" tire for a trailer. The 205/70R15 tires you have are not a trailer size.

@SamuelC thank you. I am assuming a 5% aspect ratio difference should have no impact on a tandem trailer with free wheeling axles.

@Russ It should not, as the trailer did not come with those size tires. you're talking about a 3/4" overall difference, so as long as you currently have at least an inch or two between the tires, and about the same between the top of the tire and the fender, you'll be fine.
