Recommended Upgraded 5.2K Axles for a Grand Design Imagine 2910BH
Updated 05/20/2024 | Published 05/18/2024 >
Question:
I have an GD Imagine 2910BH. The frame was bending, so I reinforced it. With all the added steel, Im looking to upgrade the axles and suspension. The Dexter 120092 seems to have some odd sizing ~68 spring center and ~85 1/2inch hub face. Ideally, I could upgrade to 5200 lbs axles, but I dont see any sizes around that work. Am I going crazy and forgetting how to use a measuring tape, or are my trailer nightmares just continuing?

Hey Ryan, thanks for reaching out!
I wish I could say that you're crazy or you've gotten rusty with your tape measurer, but you do have unique axle dimensions so for something that would be an exact fit you'll either need to have a trailer shop or RV dealer special order you some axles, or you'll need to use the Timbren Axle-Less Kit # ASR5200S01 for both axles.
The nice thing about these kits is that they have independent suspension so you won't have to upgrade all of those parts individually as well. There is a little more of an upfront cost with the Timbren kits but by the time you price out special axles it ends up being about the same pricing.
