Hidden Hitch for 22 Outback not Wilderness. Before I buy Im concerned about protecting the hitch / locking mechanism from winter road salt here in NE Ohio. Hitch will not be used often. Thanks for any advice

Hi Wayne,
The receiver tube and ball mount accessories can be easily popped out of the Stealth Hitches Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver w/ Towing Kit # 391SUOB20T and stored in a case # 391CASEC when not in use. The block is made of stainless steel and comes with a rubber plug to prevent any road salt/grime from getting inside the mechanics of the hitch and corroding them. The block is pretty well hidden in the fascia (see pic below) but you could probably find drawstring bag at your local department store that you could place over it and tighten down to protect the block further.
