2-5/16 Inch Hitch Ball Recommendation for the Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount # D210

Question:
it does say only 1 inch but I would like to know if here is some wiggle room to accommodate the standard 2 5/16 with a 1 1/4 inch diameter.

You will need to go to a 2-5/16 inch ball with a 1 inch diameter shank like the Hitch Ball with 2-5/16" Diameter # 63847 to be able to use a 2-5/16 inch ball with the Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount # D210.
You would not be able to install a 1-1/4 inch shank hitch ball into the # D210.
