Recommended Hitch and Wiring Harness for a 2021 Lexus GX460

I am looking for a class 3 hitch and the wiring kit for a trailer for a 2021 Lexus GX460.

To add a class III hitch to your 2021 Lexus GX460, I recommend the etrailer item # e46YR. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Lexus with included hardware. This is a great hitch with a 5,000 lbs towing capacity and a simple install.

For a wiring harness you'll need to use the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector and Installation Kit item # 119250KIT. This harness uses specialized clamps instead of splicing into your factory wiring. This makes installation easier and cleaner. It will provide you with a 4-way connector that will control your trailer's lighting functions.

To round out your towing setup, I recommend the Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches item # C45534. This towing kit will provide you with a 2" ball and a fixed ball mount with a 3/4" rise and 2" drop. It also includes a hitch pin and clip, hitch receiver lock with keys, hitch cover, and a storage case.

If you plan on towing a trailer with brakes you will also need the following parts:

7-Way Connector - Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller item # ETBC7

Brake Controller - Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller w/ Universal Wiring Harness item # RED52VR
