Yes, the Curt CrossWing Lightweight Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter # C32DR will work with the OEM puck system on your 2016 Ram 2500. Do understand since you do have the short bed you will likely not be able to make full jackknife turns with your 5th wheel even with the 9" of offset. But you may be able to make the full turns depending on the width of your 5th wheel. You can measure your hitch ball and add the 9" offset then compare this with the width of your 5th wheel from the center pin to the edge of the overhang to verify if you will have the clearance needed to make a 90 degree turn.

Personally I prefer to use the Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch # DM89GV as it automatically slides back up to 14" as you turn ensuring you can make the full jackknife turns. And since it doesn't have the offset the weight is better centered above your axle when you are driving.
