Question:
I own a 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe. Will the Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Carrier work on this vehicle? The roof rack was installed by the Hyundai dealer where we bought the vehicle so it was not factory installed. The cross members have a definite arc. Will the unit still work? Thanks

I do not see any reason why the Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Carrier will not work on your 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe. As long as the crossbars that you are using extend anywhere from 4 to 8 inches from the side of the vehicle, you should be good to go. Since it sounds like you are unaware of what exact crossbars you are dealing with, you will need to make sure you measure the length of the bars from the roof racks feet to the end of the bar to make sure that that spans from 4 to 8 inches to ensure that there is enough of an overhang. If you do not have this much of an overhang on your current bars, you may need to offset the bars from the center of the vehicle in order to reach the measurement that is needed on the side that the Hullavator Pro is going to be mounted on.
Of course, if you are not willing to adjust the bars off of center, then I recommend getting a roof rack with a longer crossbar, like part # Y95JB, where the bars measure out to 55 inches. This should be plenty of space for your 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe. As you can see in the video I have linked below of the installation of this rack on a 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe, there is plenty of room on the rails for an overhang to be available without needing to worry about offsetting the rack. From the research I have done on this, the 2019 and the 2020 Santa Fe has the same roof measurements, so you should be good to go.
