Can The Thule Sidearm TH594 Be Made To Work With ProRac Crossbars?

Question:

I have 2 Thule sidearm 594 bike racks that I want to mount on a pop up trailer I just got. The pop up has a ProRac on it, the cross bars are 2 3/4 inches wide and the holes on the bracket that fastens the Thule to the roof rack are about 1 1/2 inches apart. I was wondering if there is an adapter or another metal bracket available to make this work? Thank you.

Hello Luis. It may be possible to use your Thule Sidearm TH594 bike racks on the ProRac on your pop up camper. Do these ProRac bars have a T-track on top? Based on what I can find online it appears that we do, although we do not carry this brand so I am not 100% sure about that. If the bars do have T-tracks, you can use the Thule # Xadapt1. This will allow you to mount your rack to the T-track.

If the ProRac crossbars do not have T-tracks I am afraid there is no way to mount the Sideam bike rack. In this case the only option would be to get a new bike rack like the Rhino-Rack Hybrid Roof Bike Rack # RRRBC050. This can clamp to crossbars up to 3-3/4" Wide so it will undoubtedly work with your ProRac setup.

Hi Jesse, I really appreciate your insight. I do believe the prorac has T tracks. It seems to have a hollow track, any way I can send a picture to confirm? Thank You.

@LuisJ yes you can email me pictures at [email protected] I am happy to take a look. If you can measure dimensions of the T-track that will also help to confirm things.
