Question:

I have a 2016 Jeep Wrangler JKU. Need a roof rack. Off roading and camping. Need heavy duty and want USA made. No tent, equipment and tools. What do you have and recommend. Thank you!

Hey Charles,

While we do have a roof rack system for your Wrangler I do want to note that there are no American made options as most of the manufacturers for roof racks are either based in Africa or Europe/Asia. If you're looking to capitalize on space and want to hold a lot of items then Rhino-Rack or Front Runner are going to be the best option with their platform racks.

The Pioneer Platform is going to mount to your gutters so you won't have to drill into the vehicle in order to install it. The Slimline II is going to need to bolt into your roll bars so it will require drilling and would be a bit more permanent of an install. The SlimLine II is going to give you an extra 36" of length over the Pioneer to hold more accessories/equipment for your camping trips so I'd personally choose it. If you have other preferences then just let me know and I can see if there's something else better suited to your needs.
