Question:

I bought a Malone Airflow2 that is 50inch long as it was a fit for my 2017 Rav4. However, the site specs werent taking into consideration that I am using it for a Thule Hullavator Pro. It looks like the next size up is a 58. Will that give me the clearance I need on the sides for fitting the Hullavator? It doesnt look like it will be too long from pictures, but I dont want to go through the whole ordering process again and find out it wont work. Im open to other suggestions as well. I chose the Airflow2 because it seemed to be a better value than the Thule crossbars out there that cost more and sell all the pieces independently of each other. Any advice you can offer would help me tremendously. Thank you.

Yes, the Malone AirFlow2 Roof Rack # MAL84AR with the 58" crossbars will give you the clearance you need for the Hullavator Pro # TH898. I have included a video near the bottom of the page for this roof rack also on a 2017 Toyota RAV4 so you can see the overhang you will end up with.

Thanks. I just put in my order. Now here's hoping the Hullavator is as easy to install as the bars are. Or close.

@Stephanie You're welcome. The Hullavator can be installed either with the t-slot nuts or with straps around the crossbars. The hardest part is really reaching the inner screw/strap with the height of the roof on your Toyota RAV4.
