Troubleshooting Curt Echo Mobile Not Showing Trailer Connection

Updated 06/05/2024 | Published 03/13/2024

Question:

Hello, now that the app has changed to “One Control” it now says the 7pin connector had been disconnected which it is not. It will pair but won’t allow access. This has been working perfectly on the same vehicle until now 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Can you first try cleaning the pins on the 7-way of the vehicle, trailer, and the Echo? Almost everytime this happens it's due to corrosion that once cleaned off clears the problem up. Let me know though if you still have problems.

I also have this issue when it switched to the "one control" app. It worked fine with the Echo app. I replaced the 7 pin connector on the vehicle and there is no cleaned all corrosion. Any other ideas? Can you perhaps re issue the Echo app since it works with that app?

@Keith The One Control app has been pretty frustrating. But I would check to see if you have the most current version of it on your phone. I know they have had some recent updates to try and get it to function more consistently.
