How Is Hitch Pin Attached with EcoHitch for 2018 Subaru WRX
Published 02/29/2024 >
Question:
I bought this hitch for my 2018 Subaru WRX. I am new to tow hitches and hitch bike racks. With this hidden design, how do you secure the bike rack to the hitch? A lot seem to need a pin to go through, but that is hidden behind the bumper. Ive only seen one bike rack that locks from the outside. Does this limit what hitch bike racks I can use?

Great question Tarik, so to install a hitch pin when using the EcoHitch part # 306-X7257 you will need to reach under the bumper like you can see at the 1:30 mark of the attached video. It shouldn't limit the bike racks you can use though.
